This document serves as a synopsis of proposed contract actions in compliance with FAR 5.204 and should not be considered as a Request for Proposal (RFP). Attached for your review are the draft Sections C, F, and J of the upcoming Feed the Future Democratic Republic of the Congo Resilient Food Systems (Resilient Food Systems) activity. Please note a Request for Information (RFI) was also issued for this activity. Please see RFI No. 72066024RFI00001 for more information.
The purpose of this activity is to increase the income and nutritional status of the targeted population through an inclusive and sustainable food and market systems-oriented approach that facilitates agriculture-led growth and utilization of nutritious food.
This activity will be USAID/DRC-s primary implementing mechanism to achieve Feed the Future targeted results and the objectives established under the Global Food Security Strategy Country Plan for the DRC. The two main goals of the Country Plan are to reduce poverty and severe malnutrition (stunting) by 20 percent in a designated FTF Zone of Influence (ZOI) in specific areas within Kongo Central and Kasai Central over a 5-year period, as measured through a pre- and post-program survey.
The broad objectives of the Resilient Food Systems activity are to:
Promote inclusive and sustainable systems and practices for agriculture-led economic growth. Increase sources of resilience among individuals, households, communities and systems; and Increase the consumption of safe and nutritious foodPROPOSED CONTRACT TYPE: Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) completion contract.
We are interested in feedback on the content and clarity of the Statement of Work (SOW), and feedback on Section F, particularly in terms of the Contract Deliverables planned for the inception phase of the Contract.
